This subdivision has 2 sections: the first is villa condominiums and the second is single family homes. The single family homes are of a ranch style and custom design with the majority being concrete block construction. Center Gate Boulevard is the main road that travels throughout the subdivision and begins at the north entrance on Bee Ridge Road to the south entrance on Wilkinson and Proctor Roads. This subdivision is located to the southwest of the intersection of Bee Ridge Road and Cattlemen Road.

Support facilities (banks, Home Depot, WalMart, shops, etc.) are located about one quarter of a mile to the east of the north entrance. Downtown Sarasota is located about 5 miles to the northwest and Siesta Key Beach is about 5 miles to the southwest.
