Colonial Oaks
A popular subdivision of single family homes with a community park, clubhouse, picnic area and playground. Features several small lakes, underground utilities, some sidewalks, street lights, and some trees. Homes are primarily of concrete block construction with shingle roofs. Some homes have swimming pools and views of the small lakes. The north area entrance accessible from Honore Avenue is made up of newer and larger homes with many trees with some homes having views of a lake. The second entrance is to the east off of Cattlemen Road.
Service facilities (banks, Home Depot, WalMart, etc.) are available at the intersection of Bee Ridge and Cattlemen Road about 1 mile to the south. Downtown Sarasota is about 4.5 miles to the northwest and Siesta Key Beach is about 6 miles to the southwest.
