Tropical Shores
These two communities located west of US 41 at the intersection of Beneva Road. Both communities are of modest size homes ususally between 1,200 - 1,600 square feet. Most of the homes are of a ranch style design reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s. There is a mix of concrete block and frame construction with some pockets of new homes also present.
Tropical Shores is located just to the west of Vamo. A few of the homes have bay views and the community provides use of a private park and marina to the residents. Some of the homes in this community were in the process of being renovated.
Service facilities (banks, shops, etc) are located all along US 41 and mostly at the intersection of Beneva Road and US 41. Downtown is located 7 miles to the north and Siesta Key beach is about 3 miles to the northwest.
