Originally from Michigan, Matt Morris has been selling real estate together with his wife, Maureen, for nearly three decades. They've been living in Sarasota for just as long and enjoy everything that this area has to offer - from its beautiful beaches, waterways and golf courses to its fabulous dining and cultural attractions. Clients truly appreciate his local expertise and insight, as well as his shrewd marketing skills.
A seasoned professional, Matt worked for several real estate firms in the area such as Michael Saunders & Company, before launching Morris Group South with his wife in 1984. The company focused on commercial real estate, specifically land development and hotel and retail-center sales throughout Florida. The firm also provided marketing and consulting services for time-share developers, car dealers, and lenders.
In 2003, the Morris' joined ERA Mount Vernon Realty to sell both commercial and residential real estate as a team. During their time at ERA, they earned the company's Real Estate Leadership Award (ERA's highest honor) in 2005, placing them in the top five percent of agents nationwide for the ERA franchise. More recently, they earned Sarasota Magazine's Five Star Best in Client Satisfaction Award.
When Matt's not selling real estate, he enjoys spending time with his family and loves fishing and boating. He graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan with a degree in Law Enforcement. |
Maureen Morris has been a resident of Sarasota since 1971 and loves the lifestyle that makes this beautiful location so special. She enjoys helping people find their perfect home here – whether it's on the water, downtown or in one of the popular west-of-the-trail neighborhoods. That's why Maureen works so hard to ensure that every client enjoys a pleasant experience while buying or selling a home. Licensed in 1981, she began working with her husband, Matt, in the real estate industry.
They launched their own real estate company, Morris Group South, in 1984 shortly after Maureen earned her Broker's License.
After taking a few years off to raise their children, Maureen decided to return to the business full- time with the addition of residential real estate.
In addition to her passion for homes and real estate, Maureen loves boating, traveling and spending time with her wonderful family. |
